“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” ~ Carl Jung

What if I made 2020 my best year yet?

This may not be an idea that sits well with many. This has been a year filled with challenges, heartache, uncertainty, fear, and questioning. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones, jobs, relationships, and more.

I have had my own version of challenges this year, yet those are the times I usually also grow the most and explore my edges. The challenges of 2020 pushed me, like many, to rethink how my life was being done. Not only personally but professionally.

I am ready to live in a new way and that includes following my passion for deeper learning and spiritual inquiry. Am I who I really want to be? Am I living my true purpose? Am I living my potential? If I am honest, the answer to these questions has always been ‘no’ for me. I have had a life that was comfortable and filled with loving relationships and joyful moments as well as loss, heartache, and difficulties. And a yet to be explored and evolved version of myself knew there must be more to it.

I am ready to learn from my mistakes, my shortsightedness, and my hardships and use them to grow and continue to build my resilience. I have made 2020 my best year yet by expanding my comfort zone, growing my compassion for others, putting to use some of the lessons learned, and finding more love and kindness for myself as I sometimes not so skillfully navigate these wild times.

This year due to the pandemic my Physical Therapy practice, like many other businesses, took a hit and I had some time on my hands. When that happens, I am not one to sit idle. (a good topic for me to explore for myself as I continue this journey of self-exploration) I started searching as I often do for insight, a way to shift, and a new perspective. Through trial and error, I found Jungian Life Coaching. I am moving towards becoming a Certified Jungian Life Coach myself and I love the work so much I have already enrolled in the Master’s Program. I only knew a little about Carl Jung, the father of Spiritual Psychology, yet, I had been drawn to his work for many years. His words hit a place deep inside me. “The world will ask you who you are, and if you don’t know, the world will tell you.”

I’m ready to discover who I really am, my true Self. I’m ready to do the not-so-easy, deep work of really looking inward, so I can let the world know who I am. Are you? If so, join me here on my blog as I continue to question, explore, and find my own Wild New Way. It takes courage and vulnerability to live your authentic life and create a life you truly love. I hope you find your own Wild New Way and would love to hear what that looks like for you. This is a space you can share your journey and be supported and encouraged.

Much love, gratitude, and a blessed 2021 to you!
