Self-love through rest and renewal.

“Today I am going to pamper my soul.” ~From ‘Sabbath’ by Wayne Muller

I was gifted this book by my dear friend, Leigh, several years ago. I just finally began to read it now. My own shadow of having to feel productive and busy got in the way. I continue a journey I have been on for a very long time to find my own rhythm among the busyness of our current times…to create a refuge for my soul to replenish and find deep rest.

Leigh knew me well and knew I needed this lesson on a deep level. She left this material world 7 years ago but I can feel her close as I slowly, intentionally make my way through the book and I can hear her voice clearly. She was a soul mate and I know I am not the only one that felt that of her. Today, being a day we talk of love and sweethearts and indulgence I am creating space to just be in an effort of loving myself in the way I need it most: rest, rejuvenation, replenishing, and renewal. I am doing this in honor of my dear friend and myself.

May we all find our way to what truly nourishes us and fills us with love this day. Whether that is time with loved ones, reading a book, walking in nature, sharing a meal, or just being. My wish for us today is that we can let go of the busyness and find what feeds our soul. My intention and motivation in showing up to write this today is to hold this vision for myself and others.

Much love and rest to you,

Cindy <3
